Stage IV - A Journey Into the Unknown

When the threat of early death comes knocking, one woman, her close family and friends are launched on a quest for life's meaning. Stage IV takes us on an inspiring yet intimately honest, even humorous journey where Anne 47, transforms her imminent dying as an opportunity to ask - what is the purpose with my visit on earth? All key moments of this character-driven story are told through intimate verite' footage, building suspense as to Anne's fate and intercut with candid interviews revealing contradictions, confessions and revelations. Stage IV flows between lightness and sadness, courage and fear, love and anger in a turbulent yet ultimately serene journey of awakening to the present moment.

Living with Metastatic Breast Cancer
The unique experiences of women with advanced (metastatic) breast cancer are not often understood and their voices seldom heard in the breast cancer community. Being diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer can bring up many different emotions; there are new treatments to consider, side effects to manage, and emotional and practical needs to address as women try to maintain the best quality of life. Recognizing these challenges, as well as the difficulties family members and friends face in trying to provide support to their loved ones, Breast Fest presents an opportunity to join in an important conversation with professionals and a woman living with metastatic breast cancer as they explore the complex experiences and needs of this diverse and underrepresented community of women.
