Sarah Wolf

Sarah Wolf was diagnosed as BRCA-2 positive in July of 2008. Although she knew she was at high risk for testing positive for the gene, it wasn't until the diagnosis of her sister's breast cancer in 2007 that she was tested herself. It was not a surprise to her when she did test positive, as her mother, aunts and uncle all carried the BRCA-2 genetic mutation.

In January 2009, Sarah underwent a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy. She has just finished her exchange surgery this month, and is looking forward to buying new clothes to fit her brand new breasts :) She is in the process of meeting with doctors and surgeons to arrange for an oopherectomy next year.

Sarah has worked as a sexual health educator and advocate. She currently works as a counsellor in a women's sexual health clinic. She lives in Toronto with her partner and their spoiled cat.
